About us
Since its foundation, Solar Fabrik has stood for the highest quality and innovation in solar technology. Under the leadership of Christian Laibacher, who has been developing the brand together with his family since 2016, Solar Fabrik remains a pioneer in the German photovoltaic industry.
For the Laibacher family, one thing is certain: “We help everyone to become part of the energy transition. Together, we are creating a better future – for ourselves and our children.”
This vision is put into practice every day: through advanced solar modules that protect the environment and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. In collaboration with research institutes and strong partner companies, we are consistently driving forward the development of new technologies. Together with our customers, we are actively shaping the energy supply of the future.
Factory One”, a state-of-the-art German solar module production facility, is currently being built in our home region of Spessart. It makes us less dependent on international price fluctuations and at the same time strengthens regional value creation.
This is the realization of a mission that Christian Laibacher has been pursuing since the beginning of his career in the solar industry.

Module origin
We have been using contract manufacturing in China since 2018. This means we work with companies in China that produce the solar modules on our behalf and according to our specifications. We use tests from ongoing production to ensure that these modules meet our quality and performance requirements. We use the three major German TÜV organizations for this purpose. We also ensure that our modules comply with EU REACH and ROHS requirements. We also exclude child and forced labor through appropriate contracts and specifications.
For our customers, this means that they receive solar modules that meet German quality standards, with top performance, in compliance with all legal requirements and at the best possible price/performance ratio on the market. The very low defect rate of less than 0.01 percent underlines this.
Our home
Solar Fabrik is deeply rooted in northern Bavaria, specifically in the Spessart region, and actively takes responsibility for the local community. We are demonstrating this by setting up our existing headquarters in Laufach and supporting various institutions in the region. By investing an initial 6 million euros and creating around 20 additional jobs at the new site in Hösbach from 2026, we are demonstrating our strong commitment to the regional economy. We are financing these investments from our own resources, thereby promoting local value creation overall.
Our planned production in Germany will complement the current production in China. We offer fair working conditions and training opportunities to pass on sustainability to the next generation. We are proud to be economically successful and a responsible part of our community.

Excellent quality
Solar Fabrik products offer many years of experience, innovation and first-class quality. We select components carefully and carry out long-term tests and strict quality controls.
Our products are certified by recognized institutes (e.g. TÜV Nord) and meet German quality standards with aesthetic demands. All our solar modules have a German warranty. In the residential format (smaller than 2 square meters) and for glass-glass modules, we offer 30 years on product and performance. For glass-foil and glass-glass modules in project format, you receive 15 years on the product and 25 years on the output.
